HKU Academic Exchange Funding Programme
Outgoing Visit to Chinese Mainland & Taiwan
This programme is intended for full-time academic staff members of HKU in making short trips to universities or comparable institutions in the Mainland and Taiwan for academic purposes such as giving lectures or undertaking research.
Application
Completed application form, with the endorsement by the Department / Office Head at HKU, should be submitted to the Mainland Affairs Office at 9/F, Knowles Building, before the deadlines listed below.
Duration
The visit should normally be within 7 days, with a cap at 14 days.
Application Timeline
Applications will be reviewed four times a year, with each review occurring every three months. The cut-off dates for the four batches of applications are as follows:
March 1, June 1, September 1 and December 1
Remark: The original copy of application documents should be delivered to the Mainland Affairs Office at 9/F Knowles Building within two working days after the deadline of each application round. Late submissions and retrospective applications will not be considered.
